Welcome to the Busbridge Infant School website.

Our school is a co-educational day school, offering education to children aged 4 to 7 years. The school is situated on a large site, on the edge of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, close to Godalming.

'Busbridge Infant school is a very special place. The whole experience is designed to help children to make the vital transition from a play-oriented environment to an academic curriculum. This is done with immense passion and care.' Ofsted March 2007. The full 2007 report is available here and 2010 Interim Report here. We are proud of these high standards and work hard to maintain them by providing a happy and safe learning environment; creating a nurturing and stimulating setting where each individual is inspired and flourishes; and equipping all learners with the essential skills and tools that will set them on the road to lifelong success.

We support and encourage the development of key values:

Care (being kind, gentle, helpful, polite, considerate)

Ambition (trying hard, being determined, resilient, persevering, taking risks, personal motivation, application).

Responsibility (for learning and actions, reflecting and improving, being honest, independence).

Enjoyment (love of learning, curiosity, positivity, optimism, enthusiasm, confidence).

and Respect (for others as well as for property).

Infant school is the start of your child's formal education. Our staff and governors are passionate about, and committed to, ensuring your child is happy, safe, learns and grows, and is ready, by the end of Key Stage 1, for their next step to Junior School. Our vision and motto "Turning little steps into confident strides" embodies this - and is reflected in the school day, the curriculum and our school policies.

We are grateful for the support and partnership we have with parents, carers, our neighbours and other schools in the area. We are particularly grateful for the active role of parents through the PTA in raising valuable funds for the school, and helping to create a warm and friendly school community through a series of events throughout the year.

Do come and see for yourself – visits to the school are most welcome and we look forward to hearing from you (01483 417898).

With summer nearing and temperatures rising we would like to remind parents and guardians to please ensure your child has a full water bottle and sun hat with them in school, and if possible, apply sun cream with high sun protection factor (SPF) of at least SPF 15 with UVA protection too (before school).
